Submitting your song for the Music For Devotions CD

Submissions for inclusion on the Workshop For The Arts Baha’i ‘Music For Devotions’ CD project are now closed. If you wanted to submit a song and something happened, please Contact Us.

There are 3 steps to completing your submission:

  1. Completing and submitting the Music For Devotions form on the Workshop For The Arts website below:

  2. Reviewing and agreeing to the Creative Commons license linked below and on the submission form:
    Creative Commons Attribution-Non Exclusive, No Derivative Works 3.0 United States License.
  3. Transfer of a rough mp3 demos of your songs to Workshop For The Arts below:
    Music For Devotions File Upload
    > use password: files2000, browse for mp3, click green check icon near top of page.
    (there is a limit on file size of 32 meg, and upload time of 2 minutes.)
    > your file names must be identical to what has been written/submitted in your submission form! If you submit more than one, list them both on the form.
DEADLINE IS JUNE 1ST, 2008! If you submit after the deadline, your song will be considered, but may not be included, depending on the production schedule.

Once you have completed the above, you will receive a confirmation email. If you do not, please contact us.
your song will be considered by our 3 producers for professional production and inclusion on the final CD at no cost to you.

  1. When you say “professionally produced”, does this mean that you will take the rough cut and re-cut it with a singer and/or musicians of your choosing or will you work with the submittor to produce a professional recording? Or will it be on a case by case basis?

    Dear Helen,

    I think you will find in reviewing the submission form above that the submitter, artist and original composer of the song can be involved in every step of the production of the song if they want to be. Everything can be redone, or we can use the music you have recorded if it is already professionally released. It is up to the discretion of the producers which there are 3 of for the CD that will each take on certain songs.
